Common Cat Diseases and How to Spot Them Early

Vomiting

in cats is a relatively common condition, with several causes. These can range from swallowing a dangerous or inedible substance (such as a thread) to an infection, urinary tract disease, diabetes, or hair loss.

Symptoms are usually mild, such as fatigue and bloating. Vomiting can quickly dehydrate your cat, so if your cat continues to vomit or is sick, contact your veterinarian immediately. Obtaining a sample of your cat’s vomit and bringing it to the veterinarian may be helpful.

Treat your cat for fleas. Fleas can spread intestinal parasites such as tapeworms, which cause vomiting.
